Barcelona loanee Julian Araujo has been hit with a four-match ban and a fine after clashing with an opponent while playing for Las Palmas against Tenerife in the Copa del Rey.
Las Palmas lost the match 2-0, with Araujo handed his marching orders in the second half after picking up a second booking.
Araujo’s red came after he’d gone to ground in the penalty area. The defender then jumped up and confronted an opponent, leading with his forehead.
There wasn’t much in it at all but the Tenerife player needed absolutely no invitation whatsoever to go to ground which saw Araujo handed his marching orders.
