Barcelona sporting director Deco has held talks with Pedri’s agent over a contract extension at the club, according to Jijantes.
The Catalans want to renew Pedri’s contract “at all costs” and are already working on a new deal for the Canary Islander.
Pedri’s current deal expires in 2026 and the club are said to be determined to secure his long-term future despite recent injury problems.
The midfielder has endured a tough time in recent years, which even led to speculation at one point the club could look to cash-in, but the report says Barca are eager for him to stay.
