Barcelona are expecting Frenkie de Jong to be back in training on Thursday and to be available for Saturday’s La Liga clash against Celta Vigo.
De Jong returned early from international duty with Netherlands on “medical grounds,” sparking fears his ankle injury was an issue once more.
However, the decision to send back De Jong early was a “precautionary measure” and the midfielder has already informed the club as such, according to AS.
Barca think it’s a “relatively normal” situation, given De Jong is only just back from a long lay-off, and expect him to train as usual with the rest of the squad on Thursday.
