Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta made history on Tuesday as the pair became the first players to play 100 Champions League games together.
Ernesto Valverde named the pair in a strong starting line-up for the second leg of their quarter-final clash against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.
Interestingly Messi and Iniesta beat a record that was previously held by another Barcelona pairing - that of Carles Puyol and Xavi Hernandez who played together 96 times.
Messi and Iniesta have now set a record that may well take some beating, but let’s hope they get to feature a few more times together in the competition.
