The ugly departure of Ousmane Dembélé from Barcelona to Paris Saint-German last summer has been revisited thanks to a new report from Cadena SER, which has added an interesting layer of detail to the background of why the French international went from dressing room favorite to activating a private release clause to leave the club for almost nothing.
The report claims that Barça never formally offered Dembélé a new deal as former sporting director Mateu Alemany and Ousmane’s agent, Moussa Sissoko, had a very poor relationship and were barely communicating before Alemany decided to leave the club.
