Barcelona announced on Monday they achieved a record income of €914 million for the 2017/18 season. The club made an operating profit of €32m which ends up being a net profit of €13m after taxes.
The club say they remain on target “to reach 1,000 million euros of income in 2021.”
One of the big reasons for such a massive income is the sale of Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain in August 2017 for a world-record fee of €222m.
The club have splashed out though as is evidenced by a total expenditure of €882m.
The big signings were of course Ousmane Dembele who arrived for €105m plus add-ons and Philippe Coutinho for around €160m.
