Barcelona 3-1 Leganés, La Liga: Match Review

Barcelona survived a second-half scare to finally beat Leganes this season. Barcelona were dominating pretty much every facet of the game, but in the second half Martin Braithwaite cancelled out Ousmane Dembele’s first half marker. But the Catalans would not be denied as goals from Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi secured Barcelona’s seventh La Liga win in a row.

Once again, Ernesto Valverde sprung a couple surprises in the starting lineup. Thomas Vermaelen replaced Clement Lenglet, who was a late scratch with muscle fatigue, while Carles Alena took Ivan Rakitiu0107’s spot in midfield. Receiving some rare rest like Rakitiu0107 was Lionel Messi, leading to a front three of Dembele, Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho.
