Athletic Club manager Ernesto Valverde has been asked about Nico Williams’ future at the club and says he’s “counting on him” for next season
Barcelona have been heavily linked with a move for the Spain star, with president Joan Laporta said to be willing to do all he can to land the forward this summer.
Yet Valverde has not given up hope of keeping hold of Williams and has had this to say about his star man.
“We are counting on him to return to training, he is happy with us and we are happy with him,” he told reporters.
