The Gunners praised Granit Xhaka and Laurent Koscielny for their displays at Euro 2016, and tried to do the same for the France striker before it backfired

The Gunners were celebrating the fact that it was a good day for two of their players as Granit Xhaka delivered another commanding display for Switzerland, while Laurent Koscielny kept a clean sheet in France’s 2-0 victory over Albania.
But it was a frustrating night for Giroud, who failed to find the target and was replaced in the second half by Andre-Pierre Gignac.
