Arda Turan may finally be set to leave Barcelona after Abdullah Avci, the coach of Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir, said the deal would be announced later this week.
The 30-year-old has not made a single appearance for Barca this season and seems to be one of several players the club are keen to offload this winter.
Rumors have abounded for weeks as to where he might go but Avci says he is heading to Istabul.
“The transfer of Arda will be announced on Thursday or Friday,” he said.
”It hasn’t been an easy transfer, Arda has been our goal for many years and I have to thank the president for this signing.
