Arbeloa Set To See Out His Contract At Real Madrid

Real Madrid defender Alvaro Arbeloa is keen to see out his contract at the Bernabeu which ends next summer, according to Marca.

The right-back, who moved to Real Madrid from Liverpool in the summer of 2009, will see his chances of first team football diminish further this season after the club signed Brazilian Danilo to add more depth to the right-back spot, which also includes academy graduate Daniel Carvajal.

But the 32-year-old is firmly committed to the club, despite new manager Rafael Benitez’s clear stance on his limited playing time. However, Benitez is a big fan of Arbeloa’s versatility to play in a variety of positions as well as his leadership which could mean the former Spain international stays at the club for the remainder of his contract.
