The Liga MX team with the most titles is putting its faith in the former Queretaro boss.
Ignacio "Nacho" Ambriz is the new manager of Club America, the team announced at a news conference Tuesday.
Ambriz has managed at Puebla, San Luis, Chivas and most recently Queretaro, and also assisted Mexican manager Javier Aguirre at Osasuna and Atletico Madrid.
Though Ambriz is yet to win a league title, the club's board of directors is confident he'll be able to succeed in the capital.
"We played together 10 years, we were in the national team. We know each other well," said Club America president Ricardo Pelaez, who played with Ambriz at Necaxa.
