American forward Jozy Altidore will miss over a month of action following an injury sustained over the weekend.
Jozy Altidore is set to miss several weeks with a hamstring strain suffered last Saturday.
Toronto FC announced the extent of the injury on Tuesday after the American striker underwent scans over the weekend. Altidore pulled up in the 21st minute of TFC's 1-1 draw at the New England Revolution after chasing down a ball in the attacking end. He was replaced by Luke Moore and immediately went into the locker room to receive treatment.
The expected timeline of Altidore's recovery should see him return to the field ahead of this summer's Gold Cup tournament, although he may not get too much action for his club side before the regional championship kicks off.
