Allegri confirms desire to stay at Juventus

The 48-year-old reiterated his desire to remain coach of the Italian champion but insisted there is no rush to put pen to paper yet.

Massimiliano Allegri confirmed he intends to stay in charge of Juventus next season and is hopeful Giorgio Chiellini's latest injury during Saturday's 1-0 win over Empoli is not serious.

The Bianconeri stretched their lead at the top of Serie A to six points thanks to the victory, with nearest contender Napoli travelling to Udinese on Sunday.

Mario Mandzukic scored the only goal of the game for Juve shortly before halftime, securing a 20th win in 21 league matches and extending the gap over its rival.
