Hernanes arrived from Serie A rival Inter at the start of last season but struggled to hold down a regular first-team place, making only 14 league appearances in 2015-16.
The 31-year-old is yet to start a match in the new campaign and Allegri says the fans getting on his back will not help the situation, calling for them to show appreciation.
