After deciding to leave Barcelona twice in the same transfer window, Álex Collado is staying at the club after all as his move to Championship side Sheffield United collapsed at the last minute on Deadline Day, according to Fabrizio Romano and other reports in Spain.
Earlier in this transfer window Collado nearly joined Club Brugge, but decided against a move to the Belgian champions to compete for first team minutes at Barça with the departure of Lionel Messi.
Ronald Koeman told the press that Collado was not in his plans for the season even without Messi, and the player decided to move to England’s second division to earn some valuable experience in a competitive league.
