Alen Halilovic was supposed to go to Germany. It didn't work, so he might stay in Spain.
The 19-year-old Croatian attacking midfielder was very close to a deal with Bundesliga's Hamburger SV, but a clause on the loan contract hurt the agreement. Barça was demanding that Halilovic played at least 60% of the German club's matches; Hamburger didn't agree to that, so both teams decided to shut down negotiations.
And the original team where Halilovic was supposed to go is back on the mix. Sporting Gijón, fresh off being promoted to the first division, has resumed talks with the Catalan giants to finally reach an agreement.
