Alejandro Grimaldo has admitted his dream is still to play for Barcelona and that his goal is to return to Spain at some point.
The 29-year-old left Barcelona almost a decade ago now for Benfica and then moved on to Bayern Leverkusen where he won the Bundesliga title last season.
He’s been linked with a return to Barcelona over the years and now says he still wants to play in Spain again.
“Indeed, it’s a goal I have. I have it very clear in my mind, even the club knows it. I want to return to Spain in the short and medium term, and I’d like to experience being in Spain because, after all, it’s my country.
