Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah, West Bromwich Albion defender Ahmed Hegazi and 23 other players have been invited to Egypt’s squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
The North African country will host the continent next month and they will begin their campaign in Group A with fixtures against Zimbabwe, DR Congo and Uganda.
Wigan Athletic's Sam Morsy and Huddersfield Town's Ramadan Sobhi were not recalled but a notable inclusion is Egyptian Premier League top scorer Ahmed Ali, who returns to the national team fold after an eight-year absence.
