Idrissa Gueye is delighted after Senegal defeated Uganda 1-0 to reach the quarter-final stage of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Friday.
Liverpool forward Sadio Mane scored the only goal in the encounter which was enough to hand Aliou Cisse’s men victory at the Cairo International Stadium.
Gueye, who was named the man of the match for the game, is thrilled with their progress to the next round of the competition.
“We are happy to be in the quarterfinals. The game was complicated against a tough opponent but we were focused to win,” he told Caf's official website.
