Advantage Sweden

Sweden took a step towards securing a spot at Euro 2016 after winning the home leg of their playoff with Denmark 2-1 on Saturday.

The first half started brightly for the hosts as Marcus Berg had two looks at goal, with one shot saved by Kasper Schmeichel and a second effort flying just past the post.

And Sweden took the lead in the 45th minute when Emil Forsberg fired into the far corner following a cross from Mikael Lustig.

Sweden stayed on the attack after half-time and Forsberg drew a penalty when he was fouled by Thomas Kahlenberg.
