The Swiss midfielder is returning to Europe for personal reasons after spending less than a year with the MLS side.
Swiss midfielder Adrian Winter has departed Orlando City after less than a year in MLS for "personal reasons," the club confirmed Friday.
Signed from Swiss club FC Luzern in July 2015, the 29-year-old recorded five goals and three assists in 22 matches (19 starts) over two MLS campaigns.
Although the circumstances of his release were not disclosed, an Orlando City spokesman confirmed to the Orlando Sentinel that the move was a "mutual termination" of Winter's contract.
