Frenkie de Jong reported to the Dutch national team for the first time since June as the midfielder is set to play for the Netherlands in their Nations League matches against Hungary and Bosnia & Herzegovina, even though he suffered a bit of an injury scare in Barcelona’s defeat to Real Sociedad last Sunday.

The Barça captain came off at halftime after getting kicked in the shin during the first half, and there were immediate concerns about his health given his long absence due to a series of ankle injuries. Ronald Koeman offered an update on De Jong’s condition earlier this week, but now have confirmation from Frenkie himself that there’s nothing to worry about.
