Earlier today, U.S. Soccer Federation President Sunil Gulati tweeted this:
US based ticket buyers for the World Cup--again tops among international residents. USMNT should have great support in Brazil this summer.

According to a media release on FIFA's website, to no surprise, Brazilians have been assigned the most tickets at just over 906,000 for the 2014 World Cup. The U.S. is first internationally with 125,465 tickets allocated.
U.S. Men's National team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann is also excited about the support from Americans:

The U.S. MNT opens play on June 16th against Ghana at Arena das Dunas in Natal. Their second match against Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal at Arena Amazonia in Manaus on June 22nd. The U.S. rounds out group play on June 26th in Arena Pernambuco, Recife against Germany, where Klinsmann was a former coach and player.
