SMU will prepare for a vital American Athletic Conference home game against Memphis on Friday with an unusual week of practice.
SMU coach Sonny Dykes bypassed the usual day-after practice on Sunday to give players more time to rest. Dykes also took into account the airplane flight home of about four hours after a win at Connecticut on Saturday.
"It was tough travel,'' Dykes said on Monday. "It was hard on me a little bit. I can only imagine what it was like for the players.''
The Mustangs (5-5, 4-2) will have what is a normal Tuesday practice on Monday afternoon.
