UNIVERSITY PARK -- SMU announced its arrival as a rising basketball program with an upset over Connecticut at renovated Moody Coliseum three years ago.
On Thursday, Moody was packed again, but the result was hardly a surprise.
SMU continued its dominance over the Huskies with a 69-49 victory before 6,978.
The Mustangs are 6-2 over UConn since the teams joined the American Athletic Conference, and 62-4 at Moody.
"It's pretty amazing just from where we started," SMU senior Ben Moore said of his team's record against UConn. "It's hard to explain. I guess just playing hard over the years against them has really helped us out.
