SMU knocked off East Carolina, 74-63, on Sunday afternoon. Here are three takeaways from the win.
1. What it means -- SMU did not play its best basketball today. But the Mustangs did enough to avoid an upset and come away with a 74-63 win over a subpar East Carolina team. SMU came out with a lethargic attitude and looked like a team with nothing to play for as they fell into an early hole.
