UNIVERSITY PARK -With 10:58 left in the first half of Sunday's game against Eastern Michigan, SMU point guard Shake Milton grabbed a long rebound and started the fast break. Forward Harry Froling flanked him to the left but Milton instead bounced a pass to Jarrey Foster. The wing slammed the ball home to cap off an 11-point SMU run.
Eastern Michigan Rob Murphy called a timeout to stop SMU's momentum but it was too late - the Mustangs were off and running to a 91-64 victory to start the 2016-17 season 2-0.
The sophomore duo of Milton and Foster provided much-needed energy in the first half as seniors Ben Moore and Sterling Brown took time to get their offense in gear.
