On Saturday night, Brown is in line for the challenge of his first start on the road. The opponent raises the degree of difficulty.
SMU takes on No. 12 Central Florida, the reigning American Athletic Conference champion on a 17-game winning streak. It is the Mustangs’ third game against a top-20 team in 30 days. SMU previously lost by 30 to TCU and by 25 at Michigan.
“I have more confidence in our guys,’’ SMU coach Sonny Dykes said. “We’re doing some things a lot better.
