SMU's Sterling Brown named AAC Player of the Week

SMU guard Sterling Brown has been named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

Brown averaged 21.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists on the week and helped the Mustangs climb into the AP Top 25.

Brown recorded 15 points and nine rebounds against East Carolina and exploded for 27 points against Tulsa as SMU moved to 20-4 overall.

This was Brown's first player of the week honor in his stellar four-year career on the Hilltop.

SMU returns to the floor on Thursday against Temple.
