UNIVERSITY PARK -- Head coaches usually like to keep the possibility of a trick play heavily under wraps. Gamesmanship, they call it.
But SMU head coach Chad Morris did not shy away from talking about the versatility of Oregon State offensive line transfer Will Hopkins. Morris can foresee a variety of ways to use Hopkins, one of which could be at tight end.
"We're hoping for Will to emerge as a tackle. That's kinda where his skillset has been but he's also been a tight end as well," Morris said before SMU's first fall practice Tuesday. "Will is a guy that can play both inside and outside.
