UNIVERSITY PARK — Rhonda Rompola, who has been with the school for 35 of its 40 basketball seasons, will be honored on Saturday in her final home game.
Admission to Moody Coliseum is free for the 2 p.m. game against Houston. The school will celebrate Rompola's career with a pre-game tribute and a post-game reception in the Miller Champions Club.
Rompola announced on Monday that she will retire after the season, her 25th on the bench.
After transferring from Old Dominion, the Sayreville, N.J., native scored 683 points in her one season as a player at SMU (1981-82).
