The SMU football team played their annual spring football game on Saturday morning in Ford Stadium. The team divided to challenge themselves and test each other in preparation for the 2018 season.

Head coach Sonny Dykes led the Mustangs through spring practices in preparation for this Saturday afternoon scrimmage. Dykes and the Mustangs took the field to demonstrate their progress.

Courtland Sutton and Trey Quinn left big shoes to fill in the wide receiver department and Tyler Page stepped up. Page’s 55 receiving yards proved the freshman will be a strong receiving option in the fall.

Returning quarterback Ben Hicks donned a green jersey to indicate his non-contact status.
