SMU is keeping quality talent at home.
The Mustangs flexed their muscles on the recruiting trail as they sealed the borders and landed a big D-FW recruit in three-star Richland wide receiver Rashee Rice on Monday evening.
Rice released a video detailing his verbal pledge.
Rice committed to SMU over Power Five offers from Arizona State, California, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Northwestern, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt and Washington State.
One of the top wide receivers in the area, Rice caught 72 passes for 1,386 yards and 19 touchdowns en route first-team all-district honors as a junior.
