Just a day removed from Selection Sunday, SMU's roster for next season has taken a major hit.
Junior point guard Jimmy Whitt announced on Twitter that he will declare for the 2019 NBA Draft.
After discussing with my coaches and family I have decided to enter my name into the NBA draft. I’m excited to see where this process takes me and want to say thank you to the fans for the love and support throughout this year #PonyUp

Whitt, who averaged a team-high average of 35 minutes per game this season, was a major contributor for the Mustangs and SMU's leader at the point.
