SMU defensive lineman Andrew McCleneghen has been named to the 2016 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) announced.
The honor society is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college career. Honorees also had to be a starter or significant contributor in their last year of eligibility.
McCleneghen started all 12 games last season and recorded 32 tackles and three sacks. A former walk-on, McCleneghen established himself as a key contributor along the defensive line during his time on the Hilltop.
