SMU quarterback Ben Hicks credited his strong performance in last week's win against nationally ranked Houston to ...
... the defense.
"I played differently than I have my whole career because I have so much confidence in what they are able to do,'' Hicks said of the defense. "I don't feel like I have to go out there and do something crazy. It made it a lot easier on me.''
Hicks completed 28 of 43 passes for 318 yards and four touchdowns without an interception in the 45-31 win.
Opponents have scored 80 points in the last three games but only 60 with the SMU defense on the field.
