UNIVERSITY PARK -- Junior defensive end Delontae Scott is finding his groove with SMU's defense.
Scott has had an impact of each of the last two games. He had 3 1/2 tackles for a loss, including 1 1/2 sacks, with one forced fumble and one pass defended.
Scott is learning to make his height work for him, coach Sonny Dykes said. At 6 feet 5, Scott has had difficulty at times with shorter blockers gaining leverage by getting their pads under him.
"He's made big improvements in the last couple weeks,'' Dykes said. "He's doing a good job of playing lower, playing more physically.
