Andrew McCleneghen spent his entire SMU career along the defensive line.
But that's not where he plans to work out at during SMU's Pro Day on Wednesday. According to PonyFans.com, McCleneghen will look to impress NFL scouts at tight end.
"The position switch was my idea," McCleneghen said. "Just because of the fact that that's more my body type, and my skillset fits tight end better than defensive end because defensive ends in the league are like 290, 300 pounds, whereas a tight end is usually like 6-5, 260, which is what I am."
McCleneghen was actually an all-state selection at tight end as a recruit coming out of The Highlands School.
