SMU's recruiting roll continued on Thursday as Woodrow Wilson corner Xavier Gipson committed to the Mustangs with a Twitter announcement.
Gipson revealed that he committed immediately after he received a phone call and offer from head coach Sonny Dykes.
"I am more humbled and excited to say I have received a scholarship and I am now committed to Southern Methodist University!" Gipson exclaimed on Twitter.
Gipson, a three-star according to 247Sports.com, stands at 5-foot-9 and 150 pounds. The rising-senior also doubles as a return man for Woodrow Wilson.
The commitment is SMU's fourth in three days, joining local offensive linemen Tai Brooks and Henry Mossberg and Notre Dame grad transfer receiver C.
