SAN MARCOS, Texas — Texas State head coach Jake Spavital said in the lead up to Saturday’s game he wasn’t sure when it would start to feel like a real game week. After months of coronavirus, limited practices and protocols, the game itself almost felt like a mirage.
And after the first FBS college football game was played in the state of Texas Saturday night, Spavital concluded it never really did sink in this game happened at all.
