SMU basketball is looking to get a pair of recent transfers on the hardwood as soon as possible.
According to CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein, SMU will file hardship waivers with the NCAA for guards Kendric Davis and Darius McNeill in order to make them immediately eligible for the 2019-20 season.
Davis comes from the other side of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, having played in all 37 of TCU's games last season as a true freshman. McNeill started 28 games at Cal in the Pac-12 last season.
Davis and McNeill, both Houston natives, bring a combined 60 games of starting experience to SMU.
