It appears that one of SMU's top players still intends on leaving the program.
After declaring for the NBA Draft in March, point guard Jimmy Whitt has now entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. The decision was first reported by ESPN's Jeff Borzello.
Whitt will be a graduate transfer, making him immediately eligible.
Whitt, who averaged a team-high 35 minutes per game this season, was a major contributor for the Mustangs and SMU's leader at the point. Whitt averaged 12.3 points per game, and team-highs in rebounds per game (6.4) and assists per game (4).
