Recruiting report card: Did former head coach Chad Morris get SMU's 2015 class right?

With the early signing period looming, we're starting a four-part series looking back at SMU's past four classes. Here's a look back on the Mustangs' 2015 recruiting class:

Best player in the class

James Proche, WR: The go-to offensive weapon of the 2018 season, Proche succeeded Courtland Sutton as Ben Hicks' top target. Defenses just can't stop him. He's the easy choice.

Most surprising player in the class

Rodney Clemons, DB: One of SMU's lowest-ranked prospects, Clemons proved pundits wrong by becoming a key early contributor. After receiving a medical redshirt in his first year on campus, Clemons bounced back and has put in several productive seasons.
