PLANO -- Near the end of Plano's signing day ceremony, offensive lineman Kadarius Smith and his family huddled around an iPhone and cheered. Smith was on FaceTime with a member of the SMU coaching staff.
The celebration went two ways.
For Smith, he finally signed his letter of intent after more than seven months of being committed to the Mustangs. For SMU, it held on to a 247 Sports composite three-star offensive line prospect that was receiving major interest from a number of different schools.
"These last two weeks before signing day there were major pushes," Smith said.
