UNIVERSITY PARK -- Reeling with three losses in the last five games, SMU got a pre-game speech from the 43rd president, George W. Bush.
Consider that a perk of Moody Madness.
But with the Mustangs hoping to make a statement against a nationally relevant opponent, senior Nic Moore took charge.
Moore contributed 25 points, 11 assists and much fire to his teammates as the Mustangs bounced back with a 69-60 victory over Gonzaga on Saturday night.
Moore's playmaking and timely baskets sent an already wild sellout crowd to the next level.
"It was neat watching Nic tonight in this environment and this kind of game," SMU coach Larry Brown said.
