When Mohamed Bamba signed with Texas coming out of high school, many expected the 6-foot-11 forward to be one of the most coveted players in the 2018 NBA draft.
After one season with the Longhorns, Bamba indeed added to the school's recent tradition of one-and-done players being taken early in the draft.
The Orlando Magic drafted Bamba with the sixth overall pick on Thursday night. The New York native became the third Texas player in the past four years to be selected in the first round.
"I really still can't really describe how I feel right now," Bamba told the Orlando Sentinel.
