The Mustangs Men’s Lacrosse Club capped off their regular season with a perfect 16-0 record by defeating defending conference champions Texas State in the Lone Star Alliance Championship 11-6.
SMU secured a quick lead in the conference finals, starting the game on a 3-0 run. However, the Bobcats were able to respond to SMU’s offensive attack as they traded goals with the Mustangs for the remainder of the first half, making the score at half time 6-3 SMU.
In the second half, Texas State cut the lead to one as they put two shots past senior goalie Adam Connolly going into the fourth quarter.
