UNIVERSITY PARK -- Junior defensive end Delontae Scott is finding his groove with SMU's defense.
Scott has had an impact of each of the last two games. He had 3 1/2 tackles for a loss, including 1 1/2 sacks, with one forced fumble and one pass defended.
Scott is learning to make his height work for him, coach Sonny Dykes said. At 6-foot-5, Scott has had difficulty at times with shorter blockers gaining leverage by getting their pads under him.
"He's made big improvements in the last couple weeks,'' Dykes said. "He's doing a good job of playing lower, playing more physically.
