UNIVERSITY PARK -- Senior offensive tackle Chad Pursley returned to practice this week and could return to the SMU lineup for Friday's home game against Memphis.
Pursley missed the last three games because of an undetermined injury. He has started six games at left tackle this season and 19 games in the last two seasons.
Sophomore Beau Morris replaced Pursley in the last two games and performed well. Coach Sonny Dykes withheld a decision on a starter but indicated both could play.
Pursley has served as a mentor to the inexperienced Morris, who played at Blinn College last season after a red-shirt year at McNeese State in 2016.
